Agriculture. Modern level of its development is less than 50% (comparing with the end of 1880s). Total agricultural lands of the Southwestern Primorye cover 165,069 hectares.

Mari culture and coastal fishery are characterized by catching no more than 10% of potential fishing resources. Nevertheless, more important species are being caught intensively. Presently 26% mollusks, 14% sea urchins, 5% holothurians, 5% shrimps make total fishery in the region.

About 22 fishery industries are located in the region. In 1998 they produced 11,4% products of the region.

Marine poaching is essential, but simultaneously an illegal part of this business in the region. Its volumes might be compared with legal coastal fishery.

Tourism and recreational activity is one of actively developing spheres in nature management.
